Kiley Sampson, President

Prior to GenCana, Kiley was the Founder and President of Quay Marine Associates. For six years, Kiley led all business development and project management efforts, successfully generating over $10 million in revenues. Over the last twenty years, Kiley has established himself as a global industry leader in the management of complex ship conversion projects, specifically vessels used in oil & gas production. He consistently receives accolades from clients for his attention to detail and his on-time delivery of top-quality results. Most recently Kiley completed a project for a major integrated oil & gas client, where his work has enabled the client to experience increased reliability of its machinery and a costs savings in fuel consumption in excess of $12,000 USD per day. Prior to joining Quay Marine, Kiley held positions in numerous shipping companies; including Chief Engineer at Strait Crossing Inc. where he co-managed the technical operation of the Svanen, heavy lift crane vessel during construction of the 9 mile fixed-link bridge to PEI, Canada, and technical manager for C-MAR Canada where he was part of a group supporting all of C-MAR’s international business. Kiley graduated from the Canadian Coast Guard College Marine Engineering Program, and holds a first class marine engineering license, which enables him to operate any size vessel in the world.

Rick Clark, General Manager and VP Marine Projects

Earlier in his career, Rick spent eighteen years selling high-end technical industrial products for QIP and Tyco Controls Inc. For the last seven years, Rick has been working in the marine technical services industry as a senior project manager for Quay Marine in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Bruce Colman, Director Product Development & Research

Prior to Gencana, Bruce held a variety of positions at Intel, Motorola and Bell Canada. During his tenure at Bell Canada, Bruce was integral in the development of Bell Canada’s “Advisor “ expert network design tool used by Canadian telecom companies to quickly develop accurate network models based on price and bandwidth usage calculations. He also served as a Project Manager, overseeing Bell’s R&D operations in their Planning & Standards Research Group for their IX2 government hearings. Bruce’s background and experience is ideally suited to managing Gencana R&D activities, aligning them with profitable business opportunities, and taking them through to customer engagements. Bruce will also fill the product marketing engineer role channelling customer feedback on product and business concerns back into R&D and operations to ensure timely delivery of quality products.
